Shirt Focus: Panathinaikos 1993-95 Home Football Kit by Kappa

This amazing Kappa home shirt was worn from 1993-95 seasons which was a successful period for Panathinaikos FC, competing in both domestic and European competitions.

In 1993-94 the Athens side just missed out on the lpha Ethniki title, the top tier of Greek football, to bitter rivals AEK, however, they overcame their rivals in the Greek Cup Final.

Under the leadership of club legend Juan Ramón Rocha the side avenged the previous season to lift the 1994-95 Alpha Ethniki, securing the league title by a massive 16 points. This triumph marked a significant achievement for the club securing their 17th league success and halting AEK Athens’ run of three league titles in a row.

Their success in Europe was mixed, reaching the knockout rounds of the Cup Winners Cup in both seasons, however, falling to German side Bayer Leverkusen and Belgian giants Club Brugge the following season.

A key factor in Panathinaikos's success during this period was their impressive attacking prowess. The striking partnership of Krzysztof Warzycha and Georgios Donis played a pivotal role in the team's goal-scoring exploits. Their understanding on the pitch and clinical finishing contributed significantly to Panathinaikos's ability to break down opposition defenses and secure crucial victories.
