Details - Centenary away shirt as worn when Cagliari were trying to avoid relegation from Serie A in their fifth consecutive seaason in the division. The team started well in the first quarter of the season, but a run which saw Cagliari go on a 16 game winless run meant that manager Eusebio Di Francesco was sacked as manager with the team in the relegation zone. Di Francesco was replaced by Leondardo Semplici with a third of the season remaining and results for Cagliari improved as the team won 4 of their final 8 games to finish in 16th place in Serie A and remain in the division for antoher season.
