Details - Home shirt as worn during a difficult season for the club as they found themselves in a relegation battle. Following the departure of defender Virgil van Dijk in the January transfer window the clubs form dropped. With 8 games remaining manager Mauricio Pellegrino was replaced by former Saints player Mark Hughes. Despite losing his opening 3 games Hughes managed to keep the club up, finishing 17th place and 3 points above the drop.
