Details - Home shirt as worn when River Plate won three straight Argetine Primera Division titles, winning both the Torneo Apertura and Clausura in the 1996-97 season before winning the 1997-98 Torneo Apertura. Also worn when River Plate played Juventus in the 1996 Intercontinental Cup, losing 1-0 with Del Piero scoring the only goal of the game.
