Classic and Retro David Beckham Football Shirts

Football's biggest modern day celebrity, David Beckham is a household name worldwide. Born in London, a young Beckham signed for boyhood club Manchester United and was perhaps the most influential member of United's 'Class of 92' with the likes of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and the Neville brothers. He spent eleven years in the first team with the Red Devils where he influenced a generation of football fans. He burst on to the scene with a strike from the half-way line against Wimbledon in 1995 and would go on to win the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League treble in 1999 at the age of 24.

He was the first name on the team sheet for the England squad but did have some upheaval, being sent off against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup, and was vilified back home with effigies of the midfielder hanging in the streets, But his free-kick ability, his most famous asset away from a new found modelling career, came to save him in 2001. England needed an equaliser at Old Trafford to level against Greece, a game in which Beckham dragged the English through. Come the end of the game, the Three Lions were awarded a free-kick from distance, up steps Becks who struck it straight into the top left corner sending England to Korea/Japan in 2002. He influenced one of the most loved football films 'Bend It Like Beckham' in 2002 and was an instant superstar, making the papers every day alongside wife and former Spice Girl Victoria.

In 2003 following a huge row with manager Sir Alex Ferguson he moved to Spain where he joined Real Madrid. He played in a side with the likes of Zidane, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and co. He picked up two trophies with Los Blancos during his four seasons before making a pioneering journey Stateside. 'Golden Balls' as he was known opted to sign for the LA Galaxy in 2007, influencing football in the United States and leading the way for the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Steven Gerrard, Thierry Henry and Frank Lampard to make the switch.

A year earlier Beckham stepped down as England captain following England's exit from the 2006 World Cup and was being selected less often due to his trade being plied in the MLS but in 2009 during the off season spent two spells on loan with AC Milan. He was fighting for a place in the 2010 World Cup squad but an injury ruled him out of the tournament, he'd never play for his national team again.

He moved on to Paris St Germain in 2013 after leaving the Galaxy a year previous, where he made 10 appearances in Ligue 1 and was part of their squad that won the league title. All of Beckham's wages during his time with PSG he donated his entire wage to charity. His final appearance in the game came against Brest where he assisted a goal before being subbed off after 80 minutes, he walked off the pitch in tears to a standing ovation.

Beckham is well and truly a legend of the sport, inspiring millions of young footballers and supporters in a 21 year long career with some of the worlds greatest clubs.
