Details - Away shirt as worn in a strange season for the club. The club signed ex Aston Villa, Arsenal and England midfielder Paul Merson in February 2006. However, Merson only played one match for the club and a moth later announced his retirement from professional football. The club fininshed the season in a relegation place in the Conference National, but due to Canvey Island resigning from the league they were spared the drop. The season was also noticeable as it was the first time the club had reacehd the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
