A 3-1 over USA saw the side reach the quarter-finals where they faced Argentina. Despite falling 2-0, forward Wout Weghorst scored two late goes to take the game to extra-time. The game ended 2-2 but the side were eventually eliminated by the eventual champions on penalties.
