Details - End of an era, as Sharp's shirt sponsorship deal expired, and mobile phone giant Vodafone took its place. Worn in the 6-1 win over Arsenal in the league, also the great comeback against Spurs where United were 3-0 at half time, only to eventually win 5-3. Manchester United finished as champions in their first season wearing the shirt before finishing 3rd the next season, the first time they finished outside the top 2 in the Premier League era, and made it to the 2001-02 Champions League semi finals, losing on away goals against Bayer Leverkusen.
